Linking your station's Twitter account to Futuri

In order to send song alerts to users or post voting sessions on your station's Twitter account, that account will need to be integrated with Futuri's system.

To do this, you can either follow the steps in this article, or just simply email your station's Twitter username and password to Futuri VIP Support.

First, you'll want to log in to http://apps.twitter.com with your station's Twitter credentials. Then, click Create new app and fill out the Application details as shown below (using your own station's call letters).

Agree to the developer agreement and click Create your Twitter application.

NOTE: If your station's email address is not verified, or if you haven't added a phone number to your account, Twitter will require you to do that before moving forward. You can add a phone number to your account at https://twitter.com/settings/devices.

Once you have created your application, click Permissions and make sure it's set to Read and Write.

Next, click Keys and Access Tokens and scroll to the bottom of the page. Click Create my access token.

Finally, still on the Keys and Access Tokens page, copy the Consumer Key, Consumer Secret, Access Token, and Access Secret and paste them into an email to Futuri VIP Support. Once we receive these keys, we will add them to our system so that it can post tweets on your station's account.

Please be sure to copy/paste the text, rather than sending a screenshot of the page, so that the keys can be entered into our system verbatim.
